Well in Milonga, we feel it is a responsibility to ask ourselves that same question. We don’t want to offer a product to the public that will do harm to the environment & ecosystem. That is why we went a step further so you can have a clear conscience of your carbon footprint.Â
We know that our life on this planet is temporary, and it would be selfish to leave it in worse conditions than when we arrived. Although it can be very frustrating to see governments doing very little to help combat this climate crisis, we believe that every action done to help is an action worth applauding.Â
Our non-CBD bag is 100% compostable & will biodegrade within 180 days in an industrial composting site. If thrown away to the trash, the life of the bag will slowly but surely biodegrade into the ground it lays on. If put in a home composting mix, it will compost within 4-6 months, depending on how it is being mixed and at what temperatures.

We encourage you to go the extra step and create the least amount of waste possible. Find your nearest composting site. If you don’t have one, or even if you do, have your own home composting bin. It’s a beautiful thing to see, and your plants and garden will surely thank you.
As a little extra treat to you & your garden, every order through our website comes with a thank you note made out of seed paper. Read it while you’re getting your mate ready, cut it up, put it under some soil, and water it following the instructions. The kind of seed is written on the paper. When you’re done drinking your mate, instead of throwing away the washed-up leaves, use it as fertilizer with your soil or throw it in your compost bin. The nutrients in the leaves aren’t only for humans!
